TriFit HQ / FAQ
Questions
THINGS
PEOPLE ASK.
The questions people ask at the desk, answered here so nobody has to ask them twice.
Ask something else →What should I do on my first visit?
Turn up ten minutes before. Let one of the staff know you are here, introduce yourself to the coach, and either wait in reception until the class is ready to start or warm up on a machine. Your first session is free: book it at the desk, by email or by message on social media.
Do I need to be fit already?
No. Every class scales to the person doing it. Strong is scaled to your level of training, Engine and Force are scaled for beginners, Blaze and Burn are as hard as you make them, and Stretch & Flex and Ember are good first classes for anyone. The hardest part is getting through the front door.
Do I have to book?
Yes, every class. Members book through the TriFit HQ app, which is built on TeamUp. For a first, free session, book at the desk, by email or by message on social media.
How many people are in a class?
Strong, Force, Burn, Blaze and X-Plode are capped at 16. Engine and Anarchy are capped at 20. Special event classes go up to 30. Running Club has no cap.
Which class should I start with?
Stretch & Flex is a great class for first-timers and Ember is very beginner-friendly, so either is a gentle way in. If you want to lift, Strong is for everyone and is scaled to where you are. If you want to get fit, Engine scales to a beginner's needs. Every class page says who it suits.
Where is Running Club?
Off the timetable for now while a coach recovers from an injury. It will be back shortly.
How much is it?
Gym only is £36 a month, gym and classes is £48 a month, both on a twelve-month contract. Gym and classes with no contract is £66 a month plus a £35 joining fee. Pay for the year and you get two months free: £360 gym only, £480 gym and classes. Juniors are £35 a month. The full list, with the terms, is on the membership page.
Am I tied into a contract?
The monthly and annual memberships are twelve-month contracts. The no-contract membership is not: one month's notice and you are out. Notice is in writing, by email to memberships@trifithq.co.uk or by letter, not by social media.
Can I pause my membership?
Yes. A freeze costs £5 and runs for a minimum of three months and a maximum of nine.
Can I train without joining?
Your first session is free. After that a day pass is £10.
What happens if my payment fails?
Direct Debits go through GoCardless on the 1st of the month. A failed payment is retried once. If it fails again the membership pauses until it is sorted.
Can I use the gym outside class times?
Yes. The floor is open to members throughout opening hours. It is 6,000 square feet across four zones: the studio, the lifting room, the functional area and the gym floor.
What are the opening hours?
Mon–Thu 05:30–21:00 · Fri 05:30–20:00 · Sat 07:00–13:00 · Sun 08:00–13:00 · Bank holidays 08:00–13:00.
Is there an age limit?
Juniors are welcome: there is a Junior All Access membership at £35 a month, and Strong in particular is for everyone, kids included.
How do I get hold of you?
By email. Anything about membership or cancelling goes to memberships@trifithq.co.uk; anything else to wigan@trifithq.co.uk. There is no phone line.
